As I predicted last week, Beijing had something to say about the trade deal struck between Donald Trump, President of the United States (US), and Sir Keir Starmer, Prime Minister. But not all goodwill has been lost; the People’s Republic of China (PRC) has invited the United Kingdom (UK) to attend a summit on global artificial intelligence (AI) governance hosted in Shanghai later this year.
