Last Thursday, Wang Yi, Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), visited the United Kingdom (UK) to meet with David Lammy, Foreign Secretary. His Majesty’s (HM) Government did not issue a press release following the meeting, so there is little information about the outcome.

As I mentioned last week, I first found out about the confirmed date of Wang’s visit through Chinese state-owned media Xinhua. Similarly, the most substantial information I could find after the meeting was also by a Chinese newspaper with oversight from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
