The ongoing high-profile case in the news with regards to the BBC concerns edits made to a speech by Donald Trump, President of the United States (US), which allegedly changed the meaning of his words to a misleading degree.

The People’s Republic of China (PRC) has piled in, even stating that the BBC has been ‘repeatedly singled out by [the PRC’s] Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ for its attempts to ‘discredit and vilify’ Beijing. Another bump in the road for bilateral relations.
